An encounter to initiate processes of socio-environmental dialogue for peace

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, a meeting took place between Pope Leo XIV and business leaders from the energy and critical minerals sectors operating in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The aim is to promote synodal dialogue to achieve a balance between economic development, socio-climatic justice, and the care of our common home, while continuing to build bridges and strengthen social dialogue in service of the care of our common home.
